PowerSchool Login Error - Access Denied!

Issue : You attempt to login to Powerschool but receive an error that reads " Access is Denied"
Reason : Your computer password has expired.

Resolution : Reset your password

Step 1 - From any PC (you cannot reset your password on a chromebook/chromebit) at your school/site, enter your current computer credentials at the login screen. When you see the message: "Your password has expired and must be changed." click the OK button under the message.
Step 2 - Type your old password in the first text box, your new password in the middle text box, your new password again in the third text box (to confirm your new password was typed correctly), and then click the right arrow key next to the "Confirm password' field to submit your password reset.
Step 3 - When it says "Your password has been changed", click OK. You will then be logged into your PC. From now on, you will need to use this password when logging into your computer/Powerschool/Gmail.

If you receive any errors when entering a new password, make sure that the new password meets the following criteria:

  1. It hasn't been used in the past.
  2. It doesn't contain your name
  3. Password is 8 characters or longer

  4. Password is made up of at least 3 out of the 4 following: 

  •  1 - UPPER CASE
  •  1 - lower case
  •  1 - number
  •  1 - special character (!@#$% etc..)

Valid password example:    MyN3wPassword
